Ribbon 'n Tassel Bookmark
Free Craft Project ~ Compliments of Craft At Home
Material:
8 1/2" length of ribbon
(use a quality ribbon with a width of 1 1/2 inches)
Fabric glue or product to eliminate freying of ribbon
2 1/2" Tassel
Fusible webbing or stitch witchery
Iron

How to:
Apply a medium (frey check) designed to prevent unraveling to the ends of the ribbon.  A very small amount
of fabric glue will work well for this too.  Allow your medium to dry completely.

Iron a seam on each end of the ribbon by turning over (wrong sides together) about 1/4 inch and press the
seam. Be sure your ribbon is lined up on both sides so that the wrong side of the ribbon is not visible from
the front of the ribbon.

Place your tassel under one seam (refer to photo) allowing it to hang centre from the end of the ribbon
under the seam.  Using fusible web, stitch witchery  or fabric glue, secure the seams closed.  If you use glue,
allow your glue to dry completely before disturbing.  If using fusible material, follow the manufacturer
instructions carefully.
